From Print to Platforms: My Journey in Design

Square

I started my career in the world of print, designing for local businesses, managing prepress workflows, and refining the craft of visual communication. Working with print taught me the importance of detail, composition, and branding, but I quickly saw the potential of digital design. I was drawn to the dynamic nature of interactive media—how users engage, navigate, and experience design beyond static layouts.

In 2007, I took a leap into digital entrepreneurship, running my own creative agency. Here, I expanded my expertise into web design, social media integration, and user-focused branding strategies. I saw firsthand how digital experiences could transform engagement, which fueled my curiosity about interaction design.

As I transitioned into roles at Adobe, Siemens, and eventually Accenture, my focus shifted from visual design to how users interact with technology. I began incorporating user research, behavior analysis, and human-centered design principles, helping companies create intuitive and efficient digital experiences. From rescuing critical projects with UI overhauls to leading UX research that saved thousands of development hours, I found my passion in designing not just for aesthetics, but for usability and impact.

Today, as a Platform Design Lead, I apply over 15 years of experience to creating seamless, user-friendly experiences that drive engagement and efficiency. My journey from print to UX has been one of evolution, learning, and discovery, and it continues as I explore the future of platform design.
